최소 시스템 사양
- ARM64 또는 x64 프로세서 (ARM32 프로세서는 지원되지 않음)
- 최소 4GB RAM, 일반적으로 16GB RAM 권장
- 하드디스크는 최소 850MB, 일반적인 설치는 20~50GB 사용 공간 필요
- 최소 디스플레이 해상도는 WXGA(1366×768)

Visual Studio 2022 종류
설치 종류는 아래와 같이 3가지가 있다. Community버전, Professional버전, Enterprise버전이 있다. 각 버전 별 지원되는 기능이 다르므로 각 환경에 맞는 버전을 다운 받아 사용하도록 한다.
- Community 버전 (무료)
학생 및 개인 개발자를 위한 IDE이다. 무료로 사용 가능하다. - Professional 버전 (유료)
소규모 팀 또는 개별 개발자를 위한 IDE이다. 추가 기능으로 코드 참조 및 변경 사항을 표시하고 마지막으로 메서드 수정한 사람의 이름이 표시된다. - Enterprise 버전 (유료)
기업 조직(PC 250대 이상) 또는 1백만 달러 이상의 회사에서 사용한다. 라이브러리 및 아키텍처 종속성 검사등의 기능을 추가로 제공한다.

개발 환경에 맞는 설치 파일 종류를 선택하여 다운로드 받는다. 필자의 경우 학습용으로 사용하기 때문에 커뮤니티 버전을 다운받았다.

5워크로드 선택 후 설치 시작
워크로드에서 설치하고자 하는 언어를 선택하여 설치한다.
위 워크로드는 C#, WPF 기준으로 작성하였다. C# WPF를 사용하기 위해서는 “.NET 데스크톱 개발”만 설치하여도 무방하다. 용량 여유가 되고, C# WPF를 응용하여 Windows앱, 멀티 플랫폼 어플리케이션등을 만들고 싶다면 “.NET Multi-Platform App UI개발”과 “유니버설 Windows 플랫폼 개발”도 함께 설치하도록 한다.
6워크로드 패키지 다운 받기
7Visual Studio에 로그인
Visual Studio계정이 있는 경우 계정을 입력 후 로그인 한다. 만약 계정이 없다면 계정을 만들거나 아래의 “지금은 이 항목을 건너뜁니다.”를 클릭 후 추후에 로그인하여도 무방하다.
8테마 설정
원하는 테마 선택 후 Visual Studio 시작 버튼을 클릭한다.

Visual Studio 2022가 정상적으로 다운로드 되었다면 위와 같은 화면이 실행된다.

Visual Studio Installer를 실행하여 추가적으로 다운 받고자 하는 개별 구성 요소를 다운 받는다. 필자의 경우 .NET 6.0런타임을 추가적으로 설치하였다.
11언어 팩 추가 설치
Visual Studio Installer 프로그램을 실행하여 추가적으로 다운 받고자 하는 언어를 다운 받는다. 필자의 경우 영어를 추가적으로 설치하였다.
